Sri Lanka starts World Cup campaign against NZ today

 

Sri Lanka’s batting hopes will revolve round the form of Dimuth Karunaratne who leads the team in the opening World Cup match against New Zealand.

Sri Lanka will play its opening World Cup match against New Zealand today (June 1) at Cardiff.

The Sri Lankans, World Cup winners in 1996, are ranked ninth in this tournament being played in England and Wales. New Zealand is the fourth-ranked team
