SL-Australia T20I on February 13 moved from Gabba to SCG

The T20 International cricket match between Australia and Sri Lanka, scheduled to be played at the Gabba in Brisbane on February 13, has been moved to the Sydney Cricket Ground.

According to the original itinerary, Sydney was the venue for the first game before the Gabba, Gold Coast’s Metricon Stadium, Adelaide Oval and the MCG hosted the remaining matches.

Cricket Australia confirmed the venues in the five-match series had been moved to minimise movement during the latest COVID-19 outbreak.

The SCG will host the first two matches on February 11 and 13; the third T20I will be played at the Manuka Oval, Canberra, on February 15 and the final two at the MCG on February 18 and 20.

The changes come after New Zealand’s white-ball tour of Australia was postponed last week, just days before the Black Caps were due to land.

Cricket Australia had earlier allocated seating for a Fan Zone section at the Gabba. These tickets have been withdrawn from sale.

It is believed Cricket Australia will refund tickets that have already been purchased. View Cricket Australia’s refund policy here:
